Is your dog's behaviour baffling, frustrating or even downright annoying...?
You love your dog and you know them better than anyone but that doesn't always mean that you are on the same page. You may be saying one thing and your dog is hearing something different, or maybe they're ignoring you completely.
Dogs are so skilled at reading and responding to humans that you'd be forgiven for thinking that they come with preset programmes to respond to our instructions; "sit", "down", "come", "stay", "leave it" etc. - spoiler alert, they don't!
Myths abound on the subject of how dogs should and shouldn't behave. Surely all dogs should enjoy the park, play with every dog they meet, come back when you call, and walk nicely by your side all the way home, never stopping to sniff...?!
So if your dog isn't the "model" dog does that mean they are broken...? Absolutley NOT.
The truth is each dog is a unique individual, just like humans, and each dog-human relationship is unique too. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, in spite of what it says on the telly or online, or by well-meaning friends and even complete strangers!
Maybe you have a simple communication breakdown, maybe you're experiencing a blip in your training or maybe you just need a little guidance to steer you back on course.
I'm here to help you enjoy better understanding, better communication and a stronger partnership with your dog.

Good question! I'm passionate about supporting both ends of the lead - canine and human. In my experience, the human needs just as much support as the dog.
Like humans, dogs are unique individuals and your relationship is unique. All relationships thrive on good communication and meeting the needs of both parties. My approach is to help you to understand the dog's needs and your needs; addressing both brings strength, balance and clarity to the relationship, allowing you to enjoy your life together.
As you are probably aware by now, there are NO guarantees in life. Dogs are living, breathing, thinking indivduals whose behaviour is the result of a complex mix of internal and external influences. I would be wary of anyone who claims to guarantee behavioural change using only kind and ethical methods.
What I can guarantee is that I will listen to you, support and guide you. And I'm confident that the skills I share with you will bring you relief, deepen your understanding of your dog and empower you to move forward in a more positive way. Consequently, many issues simply fade away.
While I do offer In-Person consultations in the local area, online works particularly well as my focus is on supporting you with the tools and strategies that you need so that you can help and support your dog.
Interestingly, when the pandemic forced dog trainers and behaviorists to offer their services online they were surprised how successful it proved to be and the distinct advantages over face-to-face meetings:
My aim for you is that you'll feel a sense of relief almost immediately. My focus is on helping to release some of the pressures and constraints you've been under and to give you and your dog some much-needed breathing space and time to de-stress. Approaching change from a place of calm is so much more beneficial and effective.
Ultimately, there are no quick-fixes and each dog-parent relationship will respond differently. Improvement is unlikely to be a steady and continued progression, there will be hiccups and plateaus along the way and that's perfectly normal. The skills that both you and your dog learn will improve and strengthen your relationship and enable you to enjoy life whilst you continue to grow and develop together.
We never stop learning and this package is just a starting point on your journey. You may want to add extra support sessions to maintain your progress and momentum.
This package is specifically tailored to you and your dog and the life skills taught can be applied to all ages from puppies to senior citizens.
If you are unsure whether this package is right for you and your dog, please get in touch to discuss, without obligation. I will either suggest something more tailored to your needs or, where appropriate, refer you to a specialist in that particular field.
